Description

The Cottage is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house. It has 20th century pargetting, which is decorative plasterwork applied in an older style. The house is one storey high, with attic rooms. It has 20th century casement windows with lattice leaded lights. A central doorway is sheltered by a gabled hood. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers. The building was formerly listed as part of Six Bells Cottage. It forms a group with other buildings of local interest in the village, including Dweina, No. 1 Elm Cottage, Lime Tree Cottage, and the Almshouses.
