Description

The Rose and Crown Inn is an 18th to 19th century timber-framed and plastered building located on Chelmsford Road in Great Waltham. It stands two storeys high and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a central six-panel door, which has glazed upper panels, and is framed by a wooden doorcase supported by square fluted columns and topped with an open pediment. The roof is tiled and includes end external chimney stacks.
