No 1 Maldon Road is a 17th to 18th century timber-framed and plastered house with a small wing extending to the north. It is located in front of Manor House. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a two-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The attics are illuminated by small windows in the gables, while the ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. The roof is tiled. No 1, along with Manor House, Manor Place, Manor Lodge, and Valley Cottages Nos 1, 2, and 3, forms a group.
