BARNES MIIL ROAD The Fox And Raven Former Barnes Farmhouse

(Formerly listed as Barnes Farmhouse, BARNES MIIL ROAD)

II Late C16 house re-faced and styled in the Reign of William and Mary. Framed in timber, with stuccoed elevations. The west front elevation is parapeted and has a central bay set forward beneath a moulded pediment. A moulded cornice extends the full width at eaves level. Six pairs of vertically hung six-pane sashes symmetrically disposed on the frontage. The two windows in the central bay have mullions and marginal sashes of two panes. The roofs are complex, peg-tiled and hipped, on an E-plan. Three chimney stacks irregularly placed. The north door is of the early C16 with hollow chamfered fillets, four-centred head and strap hinges.
