Description
Barnes Mill House is a mill house dating from around 1700. It is timber framed and plastered, standing two stories tall. The north front features three bays, with a central door flanked by a timber porch supported by two Ionic columns and an entablature, alongside two pairs of modern casement windows. Above, there is a three-window range of modern casements. The roof is peg-tiled, ridged, and gabled with hips, and there is one chimney stack on the southern slope. The building has an L-shaped plan, but the interior has been completely modernized.
