Description
Pease Hall is a 17th-century house, with later alterations, located on Springfield Sandford Mill Road. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring gabled wings at both the east and west ends, and stands two storeys tall. The north front has a range of four windows, which are casements with lattice leaded lights, while the rear features double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Each wing has a modern bay window projecting from the ground storey, and there is a six-panel door adorned with pilasters and a cornice. The roof is tiled. Inside, the hall includes 18th-century panelling and an 18th-century doorcase. The Pease family held the manors of Barnes and Kewton in the 14th century, and the house was likely built when three brothers inherited these manors.
