Description

Brook End Bridge spans the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation and was built around 1797. The chief engineer was John Rennie, with supervision by Richard Coates. The bridge is constructed of red brick in English bond and features sandstone coping. It has a single round arch and square end pillars, and it is one of the five original bridges on the navigation.
