Description

This is a cast iron gas lamp dating to circa 1900, located to the west of number 23 High Street. The lamp has a fluted stem with a moulded capital and base. Above the capital are large lighting handles. The lamp itself has four faces, narrowing towards the base, which is supported by incurved brackets. At the top is a hipped head with acroteria and a ventilator featuring a pointed acorn finial.
