Description
Jenkins Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century, likely built on the foundations of a 17th-century structure. It features a timber frame that is rendered, with the south side covered in weatherboarding, and has a peg-tiled roof. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range, with sash windows that include glazing bars. The chimney stack and entrance door are positioned together off-center, and the door is sheltered by a small pedimented hood that dates to the early 19th century. The northern end of the house has major joists that are cased, which likely come from the earlier house, although the framing is of a slight, early 19th-century style.
