Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and roughcast exterior, topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar. It features a two-window range, with 12-pane sash windows on the first storey and 16-pane sash windows on the ground storey, all set in flush cased frames. There is one dormer window with a segmental head. The front door has six raised fielded panels and is framed by a narrow wood architrave, with a foot-scraper located beside it. The interior does not reveal any earlier features.
