Description

Carters Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber-framed and has a plaster-rendered exterior. The building features parallel and adjoining tiled roofs with a red brick ridge stack. It stands two storeys high with an attic. On the first floor, there are three flush frame windows, including two double hung sashes with glazing bars from the 19th century. There is a modern canted bay window next to the doorway, which has a 19th-century doorcase with a moulded architrave and a narrow hood. The entrance includes a six-panelled door. The rear wall has horizontal sliding sashes.
