Description
This granary, dating from the 18th to early 19th century, is located 23 metres south-west of Clark's Farmhouse in Kelvedon. It is constructed of red brick in both English and Flemish bond and features a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The building has a rectangular plan oriented northwest to southeast and is one storey high. It has a chamfered plinth in English bond that is approximately one metre high, with arched openings on the northeast and southeast sides, and the floor is supported by brick piers. The main structure is in Flemish bond and includes a plain boarded door on the southeast side, along with one small window on each long side. The eaves are stepped, and the roof is hipped. This granary is included for its group value.
