Description

The tomb to the Parmenter family is located approximately 40 meters southeast of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St. Ethelbert and All Saints in Belchamp Otten. This table tomb dates from around 1812 to 1877 and commemorates various members of the Parmenter family. It features a plain base slab with a moulded top. The side panels are designed with two-light, two-centre arches at each corner, which break forward, and above these are four-light matching arches with tracery, all resting on a moulded base.
