Description

This is a barn located 45 metres south of Coggeshall Abbey, dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of three bays aligned north to south, featuring a midstrey to the west. It has jowled posts and heavy studding, with primary straight bracing. The structure includes arched braces to the tiebeams and a clasped purlin roof.
