Description

Tower House is a house with a rear range dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, and a front range built in the late 18th century. The house is timber-framed and has a rough render finish. It has a grey slate roof and painted brick chimney stacks on the right and left sides. The building incorporates outbuildings to the rear left. The front of the house has two storeys and a three-window arrangement of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. A central boarded door has two lights and a moulded surround with plain pilasters and capitals, topped by an open pediment. A gabled cast iron lattice porch covers the entrance. Interior features include stick balusters and a wreathed handrail to the staircase, and beaded vertically boarded doors. The building was originally a mill house.
