Description
Nos. 112 and 122-126 on Church Street are a group of 17th-century timber-framed houses with plastered exteriors and 18th-century windows. They are two storeys high and feature a five-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The roofs are tiled, and the houses are set back from the street with front gardens. Inside No. 122, there are chamfered, end-stopped beams on the ground floor. Attached to the southwest gable end of this range is No. 112, which has a blank rendered wall on the northwest side and a catslide roof at the rear. This house features renewed casement windows on the gable end and rear, along with a gabled 20th-century porch to the right of the gable end. The interior includes vertical studs and salvaged timbers supported by metal brackets.
