Description
This cartlodge, located 80 metres east-north-east of Peartree Hall Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring sections that are weatherboarded and others that are plastered, and it has a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The structure is open at the west end and is two bays wide, with girths supported on hanging knees. It is a single storey with an original hayloft above. The roof is half-hipped at the west end and gabled at the east end. There are three small 20th-century windows in the end wall and three additional windows in lean-to dormers on the south side.
