Description
33 Bank Street is an 18th-century building featuring a parapet and cornice, which fronts an early 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house that has undergone later alterations. The front is currently pebble-dashed in panels. The building is two storeys high and has three window openings, which contain double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The ground floor includes a 20th-century shop. At the south end, in the passageway leading to George Yard at the north end of number 35, some exposed timber-framing can be seen, although it has been painted. The roof is tiled and hidden behind the parapet. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 31, 33, 37, 39, and number 40 on the east side.
