Description

31 Bank Street is a late 16th century timber-framed and plastered house that features an 18th century front, which has been altered over time. The front is currently faced with pebble dash in panels and the building has two storeys. It has a range of four windows, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The ground floor includes a 20th century shop. At the rear, there is an original weatherboarded outbuilding that is now connected to the house by later additions. The roof is tiled and has a wood modillioned eaves cornice. This building is part of a group with Nos 31, 33, 37, 39 and No 40 on the east side.
