Description
The railings and gates located approximately 13 metres west of Lime House date from the early 19th century. They consist of cast iron railings, a dwarf wall made of red and blue bricks, and end piers constructed from yellow bricks. This structure forms a boundary along Coggeshall Road and features 12 hollow iron piers with railings in between. There is a small gate at each end, with each gate flanked by a brick pier topped with a cast iron ball finial. The overall length of the railings and gates is approximately 26 metres, showcasing a geometrical design of entwined ellipses and fleurs-de-lys.
