Description
The tombstone for Maria, who died at the age of 7 in 1838, is located approximately 6 metres from the east window of the chancel of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Foxearth. This 19th-century tomb reuses a medieval crocketed pinnacle and features three steps leading up to a chamfered base stone. The structure includes two diminishing octagonal stones, each with chamfered two-centred arches on every face. It is adorned with two-order moulding and is topped with a crocketed pinnacle supported by four moulded shafts, along with two-centred arches. The apex is finished with a cross.
