Description
The Corney (or Corner) tombstone, located 7 meters west of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, is a Grade II listed structure dating from the late 17th century. It commemorates three members of the Corney (or Corner) family. The tombstone features a limestone pedestal that measures approximately 50 centimeters by 26 centimeters and stands 65 centimeters high. Epitaphs are inscribed on the south, east, and north faces, but only the inscription on the south face remains legible, displaying a date of 167?. Additionally, there is a stone mortar from around 1900 fixed to the top of the tombstone, although this is not considered of special interest.
