This is a coffin located one meter south of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Thornton. It is likely of Anglo-Saxon origin and is made of roughly-hewn sandstone. The coffin measures approximately 2 meters long, 52 centimeters wide, and 43 centimeters high. The lid is missing.
