Description
24 and 26 Church Street is part of a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered building, featuring a cross wing at the north end. The cross wing is two storeys high and has a jettied upper storey supported by brackets. The main block is one storey with attics and has two windows, which are casements with glazing bars. The doorway to No 26 includes a small pedimented hood. The roofs are tiled and there is one gabled dormer.
These buildings, along with Nos 22 to 40 (even), form a group with Nos 42 to 48 (even), Nos 1 and 3, No 7 (Woolpack Inn), No 18 and Smithy, and Nos 20 to 30 (even), as well as the Parish Church of St Nicholas and the Vicarage, Chippinghill.
