Description

Church House is an 18th century red brick house located on the east side of High Street in Billericay. The building features a plain parapet at the front and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in stuccoed flat arches. A central six-panel butt and bead door is flanked by narrow fluted pilasters. The roof is tiled and hipped at the north end. A rainwater head on the building is dated 1804. Church House is part of a group that includes Nos 38 to 42 (even), the Church of St Mary Magdalen, Nos 57 to 63 (odd), and Nos 1 to 13 (odd) Chapel Street.
