Description

The Old Vicarage is an early 19th century house constructed of gault brick, with a Welsh slate roof. It is a two-storey building with attics and a symmetrical front elevation. The front features a pedimented door surround with coupled Doric pilasters. It has three bays of double-hung sash windows with small panes, each with a rubbed brick flat arch above. The entrance features a six-panel door with a Gothick tracery fanlight. Behind the parapet are two flat-topped dormers with small panes. Gable end chimney stacks are present. A brick front garden wall is attached to the south end corner of the building. This wall incorporates a contemporary cast and wrought iron gate positioned between brick piers with stone caps. The site holds group value due to its architectural significance.
