Description

No. 108 High Street is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house featuring cross wings at both the north and south ends, with a carriage entrance located at the north end beneath the crosswing. The house underwent significant alterations in the 18th century, and there are large 20th-century additions at the rear. It has two storeys and a four-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The ground storey features a 20th-century doorcase with pilasters and a cornice hood, along with a 20th-century segmental bow window designed in an 18th-century style, also with glazing bars. The carriage entrance reveals exposed beams and joists, and the roof is tiled.
