Description

The Laurels is a house built in 1837, as indicated by the date on the brickwork. It is constructed from gault brick and features a low pitch hipped slate roof with symmetrical internal stacks. The house has a double pile plan and stands two storeys tall. The facade is symmetrical, with three recessed twelve-pane hung sash windows. The central doorway is set within a double recessed elliptical arch and consists of a six-panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight and glazed surround. Additionally, the front wall near the doorway is inscribed with "HC" and the date 1837.
