Description
Yew Lodge, located on Pierce Lane in Fulbourn, is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century, though it may be even older. There is a rear addition from the 18th century. The building was restored in 1983 and extended. It features a timber frame with plaster rendering and a thatched roof made of combed wheatreed, along with a small rebuilt ridge stack. The layout consists of a hall and a crosswing, and the house is two storeys tall. The windows are either from the 18th or 19th century or have been restored; the hall range includes two flush frame horizontal sliding sashes with small panes and two tripartite hung sashes flanking the doorway. The crosswing has one horizontal sliding sash on each storey. The later 18th-century rear addition is also timber framed, rendered, and thatched.
