Description

The war memorial located in the churchyard of St Mary and St Andrew's Church is dedicated to the memory of those who served in World War I and II. It was constructed around 1920 and is made of limestone. The memorial features a foliated cross atop a tapering, chamfered column, which has a moulded base and a square plinth. The corners of the memorial are hollow moulded and stopped, and there are panels on the sides that include inscriptions, one of which is dedicated to Rupert Brooke.
