Description

85 High Street is a cottage, possibly dating back to the 17th century, with one bay at the east end rebuilt in the 19th century. It is timber-framed, with rendered walls and a long-straw thatched roof. A grey brick ridge stack is present. The building has an L-shaped layout, including a kitchen wing to the rear. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring a gable dormer. There are two small-paned, 19th-century horizontal sliding sash windows. A doorway is positioned in the centre bay. The kitchen wing is also timber-framed, plastered, and thatched.
