Description
Sunnyside and Vine Cottage are two houses that were originally one building with an open hall. They date from the medieval period, with alterations made in the late 17th century, and further changes in the 19th and 20th centuries. The houses are timber-framed and have a roughcast render finish. The roof is plain tiled and dates from the 20th century, featuring three gault brick stacks from the 19th century.
No. 1, known as Sunnyside, is located to the east and has two storeys. It features a boarded door to the right within a closed porch entrance and one six-paned hung sash window. On the first floor, there are two smaller six-paned hung sash windows and a fire insurance plaque.
No. 2, known as Vine Cottage, is a lower range with two storeys. It includes a 20th-century porched bay to the left with a glazed-panelled door. There is one window on the ground floor and three six-paned hung sash windows on the first floor. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed.
