Description

Nos. 21 and 23 on Cambridge Road are a pair of cottages built around 1850. They are constructed from gault brick and feature a steeply pitched reed thatched roof with bargeboarded gable ends supported by shaped corbel brackets. The cottages have two tall stacks, each with four octagonal grouped linked shafts on square bases. The design is half H-plan, with one storey and an attic. There are two gable dormers and two three-light cross-frame casements. Each of the two storey cross-wings has one three-light casement on each storey, with the ground floor windows featuring cross-frames. There are doorways leading to the cross-wings.
