Description
A pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, located in Pettits Lane, Dry Drayton. The cottages are timber-framed, with a rendered exterior and a modern tile roof, replacing a previous thatched roof. The ends are half-hipped, and a red brick ridge stack is shared between the two cottages. Originally, each cottage featured a single heated room and a pantry at ground floor level. The cottages are one storey high with an attic, and have two 19th-century gable dormers. Each cottage has one window and one doorway; the doorway of number 11 has been partially blocked and the upper half glazed. Inside, the cottages retain abutting inglenook hearths.
