Description
This row of cottages, known as Numbers 126, 128 (The School House), and 130 (Greenacres), dates from the late 17th century. They are timber-framed and feature roughcast render with a painted brick plinth. The cottages have a thatched roof with two ridge stacks and one end stack made of gault brick. They are one storey high with an attic. The front includes one four-flush-panelled door and one boarded door, along with a boarded side door on the left gable. There is one ground floor sixteen-paned hung sash window and five cast iron casement windows with latticed glazing bars, as well as three casement eyebrow dormer windows. The School House likely served as the National Sunday School in 1846 until a new school was constructed in 1875.
