Description
Christ's College Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with mid-18th century and later additions. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, topped with a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the east and has a dormer window, while the west side is half hipped. The ridge stack features three diagonal shafts that have been rebuilt in gault brick. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a rear outshut. It follows a three-unit, lobby entry plan.
On the ground floor, there are two twenty-four-paned flush-framed hung sash windows, along with a third window to the right of the entrance, which has twenty panes. The first floor includes three horizontal sliding sash windows. There is also a small oval window next to the doorway, which features a panelled door.
Inside, the farmhouse has four timber-framed bays with chamfered and stop-chamfered ceiling beams that intersect in the room to the west. A projecting rear staircase and a windbraced side purlin roof are also notable features.
