Description

Strangeways is a cottage that may have two building periods from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with plastered and painted brick. The roof is hipped and covered with long straw thatch. There is a local brick ridge stack and a gault brick stack on the west gable. The cottage is one storey with an attic, and it has three 19th-century horizontal sliding sash dormer windows along with three similar flush framed windows on the ground floor. The entrance has a boarded door located in a lobby entry position, and there is an outshut at the rear elevation.
