Description
Hilgay Cottage and Wendye Cottage are two dwellings that were likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. The cottages are timber-framed and plaster rendered, featuring a steeply pitched roof with a gault brick ridge stack. The original layout included a lobby entry and three bays, although there is a later doorway added to No. 15. The buildings are one storey with an attic, which includes a gable dormer added around 1984. There are three windows and two doorways, all from the 20th century, but one of the doors is boarded and dates back to the 19th century. The other windows and the doorway are located where the original features once were.
