Description

20 and 22 West Street is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century but is mainly from the 18th century. The left-hand bay may be timber framed and rendered, while the rest of the building is constructed from red and yellow gault brick, topped with a corrugated iron roof that was originally thatched. It features a tumbled end parapet and a ridge stack. The cottage has a lobby entry plan and is one and a half storeys high. There are two horizontal sliding sash windows with early 19th-century panelled shutters on either side of the doorway, which has an original door with six raised and fielded panels.
