Description
No. 32 West Street is a cottage that dates from the early to mid-17th century and was altered in the 19th century. It has a timber frame that is plaster rendered and was refronted with yellow gault brick during the 19th century. The roof is covered with long straw thatch and has a half-hipped design at the left-hand gable end. There is an original red brick ridge stack featuring two diagonally set shafts on a square base with a splayed upper edge. The cottage has a lobby entry plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with one dormer. There are four windows, all dating from the 19th to 20th centuries, as well as a door in the original doorway opposite the stack.
