Description
27 Silver Street is an early 19th-century L-plan cottage with a raised bay to the south and an additional storey added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tiled roof that is hipped at the angle, along with two tall red brick ridge stacks. The building has one storey with attics and two storeys overall. The street-facing elevation includes two dormers with modern casements and a horizontal sliding sash window in a flush wood frame at the first floor of the mid-19th-century addition. There are three similar windows at the ground floor, which retain their original panelled shutters. The rear range is also made of red brick and was extended to the east in the late 19th century, featuring two dormers and segmental arches over two recessed windows and one doorway.
