Description

These are a pair of adjoining cottages dating from the mid- to late 18th century, with 19th-century additions to the rear. The cottages are timber-framed with roughcast rendering and have plain tiled roofs with a ridge stack. They are two storeys high. The front has two horizontal sliding sash windows on the upper floor, with flush wooden frames. At ground floor level are two similar windows, flanked by two doorways. The doorcases are characterised by thin, reeded pilasters and a plain entablature with a narrow, flat hood. Number 46 retains its original four-panelled door.
