Description

St Neots War Memorial is a commemorative structure made of limestone, with a brick and paved base. It features a two-tiered pillar topped with a stone collar that has hollow dropped squares, from which carved floral garlands hang, including a central poppy-head.

The front face of the memorial has an incised dedicatory inscription that reads: THE/ GLORIOUS/ DEAD/ 1914 – 1918/ 1939 – 1945. The side faces display the names of those who fell in the First World War, inscribed in lead lettering on a panel, while the names of the fallen from the Second World War are inscribed in leaded lettering on a panel on the lower tier.

The memorial stands on a three-stepped base, with each step topped by paving slabs.
