Description
The Shrubbery is an early 19th-century building located on Church Street, built on the site of an 18th-century house. It has two storeys and features four windows, with one window projecting from each wing. The roof is tiled and has hipped gables on the wings. The building is constructed of gault brick and has gauged flat brick arches above recessed sash windows, some of which have three lights and glazing bars. There are French windows leading to the garden, which include margin lights. The main entrance is accentuated by a prostyle Doric portico, with a doorway that has a stucco surround and a panelled door.
