Description

The Vicarage is a house dating to circa 1849, with enlargement taking place between 1855 and 1860, built in the Tudor style. It has an irregular plan, with a three-window front. The roof is tiled, with coped gables topped by trefoil finials and wind vanes. A ridge chimney features four moulded stacks. The exterior is of random flint rubble with gault dressings. The windows are two-light recessed sashes with chamfered reveals. A projecting entrance bay incorporates a first-floor window with an ogee arch and a doorway with hood moulds. The building forms a group with the garden wall, piers, and gate of the former Hall Place, the Coach House, and the Vicarage Garden.
