Description
Holly House is a 19th-century house with a 17th-century cottage at the rear, located on the south side of High Street in Hemingford Grey. The building is two stories tall and constructed from gault brick, topped with a slate roof and featuring end stacks. It has shaped brackets under the eaves and a central four-panelled door with a rounded-headed fan-light above it. The house includes sash windows with margin lights set in segmental arches, and there is a central round-headed arched window on the first floor. The rear section is the original 17th-century cottage, which has a cross-wing and is one story with an attic. This part is timber-framed and rendered, with a casing of red brick and a ridge stack, and it has an old plain tile and slate roof.
