Description

Elder Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the east side of St Ives Road in Houghton. It is a one-storey building with an attic, designed in an L-plan. The cottage features a timber-framed structure with rough-cast exterior and a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side. There is an external stack on the right side of the building. The cottage has two horizontal sliding sash windows with shutters, positioned on either side of a plank door that is located to the right of the center.
