Description

No. 9 Church Way is a cottage, likely built in the mid-17th century, featuring a rear range that creates an L-plan layout. The cottage is timber framed and rendered, topped with a later mansard roof that is tiled. It has a ridge stack and is one storey high with attics. The building includes three 20th-century dormers and three windows. The entrance is located opposite the stack and features a late 18th-century or early 19th-century doorcase with panelled pilasters and a frieze topped with a moulded cornice. The door itself consists of six raised and fielded panels. This cottage is included for its group value.
