Description

Kingston House is a late 17th or early 18th century house located on Parsonage Street, Wistow. The house is constructed of red brick, now rendered with plaster, and has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the house. It is two storeys and has attics. The facade features a five-window range of hung sashes with glazing bars, though the ground floor has five full-length casements dating from the 19th century. A side entrance leads into the building. An early 19th century Doric wooden portico provides a sheltered entrance, with a doorway topped by a semi-circular fanlight containing glazing bars. 19th century additions made from gault brick are visible at the rear of the property.
