Description

Joxers is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Wistow Bridge Street. It features a three-unit plan and is constructed with a timber frame that is rough-cast rendered. The cottage has an 18th-century mansard roof that is thatched, complemented by 19th-century shaped barge-boarding at the gable ends. A red brick ridge stack with a dentilled cornice adds to its architectural detail. The building is one storey with attics and includes three dormers. The front has three horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, along with three hung sash windows on the ground floor. The entrance is situated opposite the stack and is accessed through a 19th-century gabled brick porch. At the rear, there are two late 19th-century wings.
